A Note to the Crazy Ones. The Misfits. The Rebels.

Some of us do this "entrepreneur thingy" for a living. We have to pay mortgages, tuition, car notes, salaries....real life stuff. It's a different world than what our friends and family perceive it to be. Most of us are bootstrapping and operating with a paper-thin budget. We do what we can with what we have.

No we aren’t always the happy go lucky, smiling, back-rubbing, fun to be around, turn up professional we appear to be. When the mic is off, we are faced with indecisions, insecurities, inconsistencies and borderline insanity daily. We're sometimes the target of other people's indecisions, insecurities, inconsistencies and cray-cray daily antics. And even after carrying that heavy load, we still seek moments of brutal honesty, because it is the only way to continue to grow. We don't shy away from hard decisions. We're not obsessed with playing it safe. In fact, we despise playing it safe. We like to disrupt things. We care more about being trusted than we care about being liked. We've learned to draw hard lines in the sand because we have to but still flex when necessary. We're constantly exploring new relationships and setting new boundaries. We commit. Okay, we over-commit but we still show up and deliver. We don't contentedly float through situations and relationships that we don't want to be involved in. When we're done, we're done.

We prefer to fail fast and friggin move on or change products, take up a new marketing approach, shift industries, rebrand the business, or even tear that b**** down and start all over again.

And YES our business is our baby. Mess with either and we won't come for you, we'll come to you and break out a whole new level of crazy that make your nightmares seem like a happy place.

Apple's "Think Different" commercials famously commented: Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

My Instagram feed is full of dreams turned reality stories. If you haven't congratulated your self lately, you should do so right now. You've accomplished what 90% of businesses have not.

Keep walking your talk.🙌🏽❤️
